You're Engaged! Now What?

September 12, 2012

Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful and hard, but I have developed some great tools to use to help make wedding planning a bit easier!

1.Create a budget: The biggest problem brides run into is they do not stick to their budget. You should create a spreadsheet of all of your vendors and your total budget. The knot has a great tool you can use to help keep track of your finances

2. Compromise: Ladies, we all want to have the perfect wedding, but you must make a list of things you can compromise and what you cannot compromise. Make the list based on what you will pay the most for and then were you wont.

3. Set A Date: The biggest problem I see brides do is hold off on their wedding date and then before you know it they have chosen a date only 6 months away. You need to give all of your vendors enough time to book you.  The worst thing you can do is wait last minute and notify a vendor. You want to provide enough time so they can only provide you their best work. Respect their time because remember you are not the only bride booking them!

4. Pinterest: Get a pinterest account if you do not have one already.  This is a great way to develop ideas for trends, outfits, decoration, cakes and so much more! You will be blown away with all of the ideas you will find.  My brides show me so many of their wedding inspirations from Pinterest.

5.Guest List: Its extremely important to not only have a guest list in mind, but to actually create one! It’s so easy to go over budget with too many people on your guest list!

Did I miss anything?!
