How did Red Paisleys get its name?
Red signifies weddings, auspiciousness, power, fierce and sacrecy in Indian culture. Paisley - a tear drop motif or buta originated in Persia from the begining of the 16th century, later traveled to India through the Moghul era and beyond.
Growing up, Neelam Mathrani, founder/CEO, developed interest for fashion at a young age while helping her mother in family business. After many years of designing and constructing outfits, she launched Red Paisleys in 2010, which was a dream come true!
